The most egregious irregularity of the elections is the pretence that Election Commission is Independent. It is very disheartening to note that the President appoints members of the Elections Commission. The Constitution must be amended as follows: 1. Potential members must submit applications to a Parliamentary Committee comprising an equal number of members from the opposition and ruling party; 2. The shortlisted applicants (who have met the job requirement conditions) must be interviewed by the Parliamentary Committee; 3. Those selected will be sworn in as members. 4. What are you trying to insinuate? As a believer hope you work with impartiality that office deserves. 2019 is not very far and you will be judged by how you will perform during 2019 election and not these by-elections which are only taking place in less than ten constituencies. You will be measured by how you will manage the 2019 election madam.
