True Malawian youth’s usage of social media is pathetic. For them it is a tool for character assassination, misinformation and distortion of the truth.

But who are these youths? Mostly DPP cadets. DPP has since the days of Jb recruited and trained its youth not only to threaten discerning opinions with machetes, but also into ruthless online trolls.

ICTs are indeed the future of Malawi. But in my opinion it can work better if these are taken to secondary schools.

Young people should be introduced to coding and developing phone apps as part of their MSCE projects.

But for all that to work, government has to invest a lot in education, which means making public funds cashgate – proof.

Which brings us back to the vp to carry and convey that concern to wakutumbikika bwana Bwampini.
