CRMI Marks 25 Years of Powerful Testimonies with Jesus and the Holy Spirit — Calls for United Prayer Ahead of Elections

Charismatic Redeemed Ministries International (CRMI) is gearing up to celebrate a remarkable milestone — 25 years of impactful ministry rooted in the living testimonies of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. As the nation approaches the crucial September 16 general election, CRMI is urging all Malawians to unite in persistent prayer for peace and godly leadership.

Archbishop Dr. Mark Kambalazaza, founder and spiritual leader of CRMI, announced the church’s silver jubilee celebrations during a press briefing in Blantyre on Monday. The event will take place from September 5 to 7 at Kamuzu Stadium.

“We joyfully mark 25 years since CRMI’s founding in 2000, and we invite all media and the public to join us in this historic celebration,” said Dr. Kambalazaza. “At the same time, we call on everyone to commit to continuous prayer as Malawi prepares for elections. It is vital we seek God’s intervention to ensure the election results bring forth a God-fearing and trustworthy leadership through free and fair polls.”

Dr. Kambalazaza shared the deeply personal inspiration behind CRMI’s mission, which is captured in the church’s vision: “Preaching the Living Jesus and the Holy Spirit in Readiness for Rapture.” The vision stems from his own miraculous journey — after battling illness for 11 years, from 1980 to 1991, he was declared dead but was brought back to life through divine intervention.

“This experience reshaped my life and fueled my commitment to spread the Gospel worldwide,” he explained.

To honor this journey and the supporters who have stood by him, Dr. Kambalazaza will celebrate alongside his wife, Bishop Ireen Kambalazaza, and distinguished guests including Apostle Dr. Madalitso Mbewe (Malawi), Apostle Stanys Moliki (South Africa), Bishop Elizabeth Vareen (USA), and Apostle Frederick Shumba (Zimbabwe).

Today, CRMI boasts over 450 centers nationwide and international branches in South Africa, Ireland, Mozambique, and the United States — a testament to its growing impact.
