For the first time Mr Mkwezalamba you have done what you were supposed to be doing. Have you seen now? Nzerutu muli nazo. Amakusokonezani ndi Chakwera. Indeed, we do not condone criminality but justice and fairness must be and seen to be done. All the best Mr Mkwezalamba, you have my support.

Apparently, there is no extradition treaty between Malawi and China; and Malawi “repatriates” Chinese nationals found criminally guilty in Malawi out of deference to China. Nothing else, but as a small beggar state, Malawi is afraid of the consequences if it does not accede to even tacit demands by China. No hope for our misguided Akweni unless APM gets on the phone and personally begs Xi Jinping – like servant to master. That is how the Chinese operate. They want respect displayed in public, and no chance for an African to even save face. “Winner takes all” is their attitude… Read more »

The CSO are wasting their time. When it comes to cases of this nature, the Chinese Government is very strict and harsh sentences such as death penalty are always carried out. Some people have stated that she is in fact a Nigerian, if this is true then investigations on the corruption at Immigration Department should be carried out and punishment should be meted out. If she is indeed a Malawian, then her fate will be a lesson to all those fickle ladies who easily get carried away with Nigerians and are used and abused in the process.

Communist government are hard headed esp. on drug related crimes cause they love to set an example and incite fear! Goodluck on thus one let us know the outcome. And we let chinese crimes roam free in malawi cause of aid we just beggers…..

The Chinese law mandates that if she is guilty, she has to go to the garrows. However, I wish they would consider the fact that She may have only been used as a Courier. In which case, they need to find the drug lords themselves. In this she may be of help, because she knows who sent her there, and who her contacts were supposed to be. Because if they don’t, the drug lords will simply find another foolhardy girl and send her on another errand. Would the Chinese consider mining the information she has and sharing it with us,… Read more »

The last question is not a fair one to ask Malawian women.
People are free to befriend any one, anywhere, regardless of race , nationality or what have you.
