When Bingu dumped UDF, the party gurus told its supporters to go and demonstrate as if the action by Bingu would be reversed. Many demos in Malawi have been conducted even during the time of Bingu by the Mayayas whose agenda was to bring down the DPP admin but surprisingly people who were very silent by then voted the party back to power despite negative show by the so called CSOs. MCP and CSOs will not be tired to talk negative on this govt but people are keeping their answer in the elections of 2019. The ecstasy by MCP coming… Read more »

Am reading that C.Os are the ones who are organizing the demos not M.C.P unless you tell me something here.
By the way, is it not true that we are experiencing blackout in Malawi? and or is it not bringing economics down to the knees? Am just asking, i know we are different, but how is Malawi?

We have no electricity yes, then we demonstrate yes, then what next.CSOs will demonstrations bring us electricity after.this is a national crisis not Peter’s. Look bushiri is offering to help and you are offering to demonstrate. I don’t belong to the president’s party but I don’t agree with your step here.I therefore challenge you to a debate on the issue.accept my challenge and contact me on 0998259295 or 0881507654.ndili pano pa ekwendeni. Let us have Solar power because this type of energy will be less affected by climate change. Sun will always be there. Hydro power is waste of resources and we are not solving anything. Escom need to change its approach. Each year they complain of water levels in Lake Malawi. Now let us use Solar power and not Generators that will need Diesel and increase cost and this additional cost will be pushed to consumers.

I can see how some Malawians are ignorant in understand demonstration. If u dont demonistrate how are u going to tell the go ernment and ESCOM enough is enough? Those who dont use electricity dont care but what about businesses? Dausi is afraid that demonstration can lead to voilence but If u dont demonistrate u will not have electricity for years to come. ESCOM and government can find a solution but dont care. Bushiri is not the answer. A Malawi u are used to beg or wait for help from abroad or someone. What is the use of having a… Read more »
