Speaking during the handover campaign meeting, Wa Jeffrey said the maizemill has been donated to people as one way of alleviating challenges which women face whenever going long distances to mill their maize.

Wa Jeffrey said everyone regardless of which party they belong should be able to come and mill free of charge.

She told the people who came to witness the function, that Ngwenya is a development oriented man very suitable to run the constituency.

“As am talking to you Ngwenya has already started  initiating different development projects while others will start when they will be in Parliament,”  she said.

Ngwenya also gave a brief speech where he promised to transform Area 23 beyond reasonable doubts under the leadership of Professor Peter Mutharika.

He will face MCP’s Ulemu Msungama in the by-electioms.

Malawi Electoral Commission  will hold by-elections in Lilongwe Msozi North, Lilongwe South East and NsanjeLalanje constituencies and in three local government wards of Mayani North in Dedza North Constituency, Mtsiriza Ward in Lilongwe City West Constituency and NdirandeMakata Ward in Blantyre Malabada Constituency.

  1. That’s the only way to go nowadays kkk now let MCP open up shops giving out free Laundry soap and free Sugar, PP to bring back free kabaza transport for everyone, UDf to bring about free shoes for everyone, PPM to bring free Axa bus transport, AFORD to bring about free lobola for any man who want to marry from the North kkkkkk!!!!

  2. Anthu a ku area 23 landirani chigayo, koma vuto ndi lakuti magetsi ku Malawi kuno a dpp akukanika kutipatsa. nanga chigayocho chiziyendera chiyani??? Komanso landirani chigayo chomwe chagulidwa ndi ndalama zanu zomwe a dpp akhala akukubelani. Ngati agawe ndalama landirani mumudyere ndalazo ndi zanu zomwe agalu amenewa akhala akukuberani. Koma chofunika muwaonetse kuti voti iri mu mtima. Msungama ndiye munthu wofunika kumuvotera.

  3. wa Jeffrey, you must know the roles of an MP and a Councillor. An MP does not need to be responsible for development because that task is for the Councillor while MP’s responsibility is to make good laws in the National Assembly. What you are saying simply demonstrates your total ignorance and you cannot separate the responsibilities of an MP and a Councillor. I am not surprised you are bribing voters with a maize mill. Why did you not give them the maize mill two years ago and you are doing it now? Mind you people are not fools, they know what you want to achieve, but they will teach you a bitter lesson come 17 October.

  4. I thought the guy was smarter than this. Philip Bwana tried the same shit in 2004 and lost miserably!

  5. Kupepera kwa anthu kuonekera pa chisankhochi. Achewa amati papas tonora sudziwa mtima wamoto. Ndani amafuna phungu wake kukhala wa opposition m’mene kumapwetekera kotsutsa? Ndiye munthu ukudziwiratu kuti munthuyu ali chipani chotsutsa ndiye iwe nkumataya voti yako mwaiyeyo? Tamufunsani Chakwera akuuzani m’mene kumapwetekera kotsutsa. Makamaka pakali pano pomwe akudziwiratu kuti 2019 chakenso palibe ngakhale ena akuyesetsa kumamulimbitsa mtima kuti anthu wonse azipani zina ndianu bwana. Funso langa kwa Chakwera: How many districts in the southern region have you convinced to vote for you, and mention the districts? Why do you think some central region districts voted for DPP in 2014, a party which by then was in opposition? Have Chakwera convinced NKK, Salima, Ntcheu and parts of Lilongwe that they should no longer vote for Southern region parties? Don’t be fooled with the Lower shire. If any help, Mia will help you on Parliamentary level not Presidential. A losing parliamentary candidate for DPP in Dedza can give his Presidential candidate considerable votes than what a losing parliamentary MCP candidate in Machinga can give to Chakwera. It is a game of numbers. Kodi pano mwasiya kudalira 50+1?

  8. DDP, dont take Malawians for granted. Why doing the most remote and outdated type of campaign? We want sustainable development and not this useless thing of chigayo. It is much more far from people’s need.

  9. Ndalama za Blue-night izi! kabwezeni mayi.
    .
He should include a gen-set knowing well that electricity under DPP is a menace.
    .
He must sign an agreement with the community leadership that he will never uproot the maize mill or abandon it and will continue paying for electricity bills after he loses to Msungama on 17 Oct’17.
    .
    Msungama ndi diluuuuu

      1. This maize mill is a reconditioned one and painted blue to blind people that it’s new one. Ngwenya has never been development conscious. His bottle store business failed miserably. This money is from Embassy gate and Blue Night gate. Area 23 people receive whatever you are given but when will people start using the maize mill since ESCOM and ENGENCO both issued a statement that we will have BETTER power supply only when the country have received considerable rains. The statement further stated that Electricity supply will only be stable if the country can received good rains for five years in a roll.
