It’s “State Capture” the Lhomwe’s and their clones have captured the State of Malawi. Last time this happened was in the early 90’s, when the State was captured by Young Pionners and their masters. The MDF successfully carried out “Operation Bwezani” and Malawi was required. Who is going to carry out a similar redemption exercise this time. My hope lies with the Judiciary.

Corrupt leaders will loot and plunder…only upto the point that their subjects will allow them! Chaponda et al know that they can get away with anything at the moment…..because Malawians have become so tolerant of their leaders abusing them! For some of us, this is double jeopardy: we fought Kamuzu and now we are being abused by Chaponda,Goodall and APM , the trio who were living cosy lives while we fought Kamuzu. Like literal vultures they came in after the battle was over to claim the spoils!!! As a patriotic Malawians lets fight for accountability from our leaders even to… Read more »

Let’s all put down our tools and go to the street to demonstrate our anger so that Peter should know how bitter we are than just crying on social medias. We need action!

I feel sorry with those contributors who are asking Malawians ”for how long will we wait for this government to continue ruling us?” What does the Constitution say? This is why we say dunderheads like you should just shut your mouth because your comments are just emotional coming from the 2014 loss. The 2014 wounds you are licking are driving you to insanity because they are too painful. You want to take short-cuts to state house forgetting that there is time for another choice and this is 2019. You can do nothing to change this government even if you cry… Read more »

showing us your colours, Saunders Jumah the Utopia. First: You may think Kamuzu was everything, I do not. Kamuzu did not bring change, NO, we fought for it and we showed Kamuzu the exit. Second: I loathe your red hot hatred emancipated in this piece of s**t you have written. Unleashing your anger by instigating war will take us no where. Third: It is Kamuzu who said Multiparty is war, with his brother in law Tembo. 23 years down the line, where is the war. You do not have to school us the definition of the term war. we know… Read more »

Mr Saunders, yours is a ggod writing but unfortunately is full of misdirection. If you say ”we are just looking silently when things are going bad” what do you mean? What else can you do other than waiting for anther election in 2019? Who is cheating you that there is a short cut of going to state house? The current president was mandated by Malawians to be where he is and it is the same Malawians who will say enough is enough. Some people like you are just too vocal but they don’t study things on the ground. If I… Read more »

Before voting day came I told my relatives how sleepy Peter is. I also preached the same at my work place.
After a year or two government sold MSB. My relative was affected and lost her job, then came Inde Bank, my brother also lost his job. when we met the other day they confessed we were all wrong, very wrong. Its not that Peter is not my favourite but he showed lack of leadership skills during Bingu’s reign. He is equally to zero and thus making Chaponda taking advantage and start burning buildings

Amalawi what do you expect from matchona`s, 52 years after independence we still have the guts to put people who did not suffer or struggle for this country to rule us. Shame on us.
