A saying goes that a strange disease is never healed by an everyday herb. The sickness of our country is very strange indeed looking at how other countries in Africa have progressed admittedly including Rwanda. Hear this bwana Councillor and Mayor for LL. People will fight and critisize you because the path you have taken has never been heard or known to them. You know people refer to books they read at Chancellor College. Please make sure you focus on your goals and allow no one to derail you. You have a vision and you want to build on diversity… Read more »

………………….Amalawi tonsefe advisory board ikadzadze majority ndima foreigner……………kupusako nde kumeneko. Development of a Nation’s capital cannot be entrusted in the hands of foreigners. They are established yes but they are not to supposed to lead on how we develop our country. This decision will affect local businesses/developments and will only develop international interests. When the time comes, the saga of local people attacking foreign businesses will erupt again. This board to be function to achieve the greater interests of Lilongwe developers should be inclusive of a majority of Malawian developers and perhaps 1 person to represent foreign interests. whats wrong… Read more »

There is equal participation from the countries chosen….. any problem? After all all his City council is made up of mawians which means malawians have a forum from where to contribute

This is a great development. The title is misleading as if there is something wrong to appoint a non national as an advisor.

These advisors will pool in wisdom from their countries into the LCC Mayor. Well done Bikoko!

I dont see any problem here. We are looking at development goals for a Multi-National City.
These foreign Nationals are coming from well developed Cities and Lilongwe will benefit alot from their Development Inputs.

Let us look at this with a sober mind. Politics aside Please.

I AGREE ONLY THAT THE ELECTED AMBASSADORS ARE WELL ESTABLISHED IN THE DISTRICT. HOWEVER CONSIDER THE FACT THAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO INITIATE/FACILITATE DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES IN THE DISTRICT. WE HAVE FOREIGNERS IN THE DISTRICT BUT IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE DONT HAVE FELLOW MALAWIANS WHO ARE WELL EXPOSED IN DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, BIKOKO IS A CHEAP OPPORTUNISTS SEEKING GAINS THROUGH THE POSITION HE HAS. TAKE A LOOK AT HIS COMPANY AND THE NUMBER OF LEGAL WRANGLES IT HAS WITH ITS FORMER STAFF. I WOULD RATHER THE ADVISORY BOARD BE SELECTED WITH REGARD TO NATIONALITY,… Read more »

Who told you that Malawians have not travelled the world and that they cant be entrusted with advisory roles. The country is slowly being taken over by foreigners due to weak-minded people like you Bongololo and your Bikoko. Advisors have to always be well chosen with citizens as a priority because there is always a tendency that foreigners will advance policies that favour them and not those that favour Malawians. It should be Malawian citizens first in everything. Wise up please.
