I think these honorary accreditations need to be reviewed. Are we saying we are prospering as a nation or is it an individual doing sth remarkable or what? Or should we say the Chinese are advancing their economic agenda?
These fake degrees or honourary recognition are not offered on a silver platter. the recipients actually bulldoze the universities and pay for it. Do you a UK university can do this nonsense? The husband pushed the Chinese Embassy for this to happen and this is how China is able to export dictatorship to Africa. After all why not confer the professorship at a ceremony conducted at the university’s campus in China other than do it here in Malawi? This justifies how fake the whole process is.
The First Lady should put her money where her mouth is: go and see for herself the conditions suffered by Malawi’s citizens and health workers.
