Media English @ 11…u have just shown your level of illiteracy here. Root is very correct and not what you are vomiting. You wanted them to write ‘loot” this word is used as in looting – for example where there is a demonstration and people resort to ransacking other people’s shops i.e. stealing items and that is called ‘looting’. In this case ‘root’ means coming from the same beginnings e.g for a tree to grow it has to have roots. Go back to standard 4 otherwise this is no learning site, but just wanted to educate you nevertheless!!!
Idont know where Malawians got this tendency of putting the letter R in place of the letter L . Its so common among Malawians. Most of our radio and TV presenters in various TV and Radio stations in Malawi tend to do the same. Its embarrasing. For EXAMPLE: lOOT AND Root are two words with two different meanings. Another example when they want to say room, will say loom. Lets learn to spell and pronounce such words correctly please !!!
