JB donates K1 million to Ndirande Anglican Voices fundraiser
Former president Joyce Banda on Sunday attended a music performance by Ndirande Anglican Voice at Robins Park in Blantyre where they launched their new album – Zimandikwanira .


The launch was also meant to raise funds to assist Mango chi Hospital.
Banda—who said is currently running her welfare campaign of helping the poor – donated a cheque of K1 million to the group.
She also told them to collect 100 bags of maize and blankets for the same cause
Banda said she will not stop reaching out to the helpless.
Ndirande Anglican Voices is a household name in Malawian gospel music circles. Despite being a church choir based at Ndirande Anglican Church, the group is loved by many due to its soul-touching compositions.
The group with five albums to its credit, first released Ndasaina in 2001, which saw it winning three awards during Entertainers of the Year in 2002; best gospel album, best gospel group and the song of the year, Ndasaina.
Songs in the album, which sold up to 270 000 copies, were written by Denis Kalimbe, the group’s music director, George Nkhoma, the group’s deputy music director and Edson Galawanda.
