My question is why dont we see all women MPs putting on their party colours as Patricia Kaliati has done? Again, supportinng women just because they are women is not enough. Women should be elected on merit. Or else we just need a constitutional review where every district should nominate a women representative to the parliament etc. As an MCP MP you cannot say vote for this woman or that…What if another Woman wants to contest against Kaliati? What will you say? What if that women candidate is from MCP?

Great to see Jessie Kabwila supporting Patricia Kaliati. This is how women should work. The future is there for women to take up decision making positions, become professionals and entrepreneurs. Men have ruled us all these years and they have FAILED. Women should be strong and speak their mind without fearing that they will be seen to be aggressive. If women work together, they will succeed and help develop this poor country – lomwe amuna a ndevu zawo akukanika kulitukula.

Can Mulanje go for Chakwera because of Manganya? Is Manganya a favourite in the whole Mulanje district or just a certain area in his constituency? Even if people vote for him as an MP do you think the MP votes will go to Chakwera? Tamazitsatani ndale za pa Malawi inu a MCP. That’s why you have been failing in five elections because maso a ndale mulibe ayi. Do you think you can take Mulanje because of Tikuferanji?

Things change with time, it was not like this in 1999, political landscape is affected by many factors, one of them is education, the more the people get education in the area the more critical they become, another is financial, the more the pipo become financially stable the more they become critical and radical, so at the mean time nobody knows what is inside the mind of MULANJEANS, Will this status quo remain like this in MULANJE for the next 2 years, nobody knows, we have seen some signs of change in the behaviour of MULANJEANS, THE ISSUE of the… Read more »

I can see some sort of GBV in Kabwila’s speech. Is she aware that such careless statements could dent her already diminishing political career?
