Strange we never hear of MPs not receiving their salaries at the end of the month. It is disgraceful that nurses, teachers and other civil servants are often denied their salaries, sometimes for several months. If such employees of the state fail in their duties, they are dismissed, and yet the state often does not honour its part of the contract and without any consequences. A contract is a two-way commitment – a fair day’s/month’s work for a fair day’s/month’s pay.
