Bravo. The Expo will offer various stakeholders to interact. I hope the organisers will take into consideration the constant fear of bilharzia in the lake by potential tourists. Unfortunately this can’t be wished away but answers need to be provided by the health experts.

To attract tourists and the forex they will bring, more than just an expo is needed: the prohibitive $75 visa needs to be abolished, especially when it makes visitors to queue for up to 2 hours on arrival at Kamuzu Airport. Malawi must be promoted positively overseas, so that tourists don’t think only of Nsanje hyena, albino butchering, Cashgate, poverty when they hear the name Malawi. Otherwise, the expo is a waste of time and money.
