After 52 years of independence Malawi is one of the least developed countries in the world. What is going to change over the next nine years to move it out of this category? Most of the people in Malawi are still cooking their meals over three stones using nkhuni or charcoal; most homes do not have electricity or running water; pupils are learning in school without text books or proper equipment; hospitals are without medical supplies and essential diagnostic facilities; industry is bedevilled by power outages and an unreliable water supply. So pitty.why malawi is far behind like this.this is not a good image of our blovd country.our politians have failled us totaly to the deep povertyness.only KAMUZU BANDA tried his best to develope malawi.
