As kuwala Health media (KUHEM) Trust, which has been fighting cervical cancer in our country for the past 5 years, am proud to see Dream joining our efforts in the fight against this highly preventable and curable disease called cervical cancer. Its sad to always hear Malawi having the highest incidence and prevalence rate on cervical cancer despite the fight which started more than 30 years ago. A commendable initiative but being foolishly implemented without any professionalism. Policies copied from abroad but being poorly done. In recent months, my wife went to Bwaila Hospital for screening of cervical cancer from where she was referred to KCH. By that time she had visited Bwaila Hospital for 4 months with no results. Same happened at KCH. She attended Ethel Mutharika Maternity wing. She did that for 4 months. Each time they told her she missed her appointment and should come next month.
