The same forestry people did commendable job in the past while they were in a mere department. I doubt if they have ever been a self standing ministry. A Commission will NOT ensure better reforestation, or afforestation. And you can have only one or the other, NOT both a Department of Forestry AND a Commission of Forestry!!! The present Department, if fortified with the resources, can accomplish its mandate. And Forestry can get back it’s glory; it was really respected in the seventies and eighties. Just plant the trees honorable Jumbe. Don’t create other structures or institutions why? Suggest how the old ones must reform
