The priorities of this government are upside down. These ministers go abroad even for mutu. What do you expect from them? And he has the audacity of being reactive and to blame these overworked and underpaid professionals. A young leader like you. What is your plan? Show that you have energy through positive work with results. Not just inspecting and expecting respect because of inheritance.

The government should build better and modern district hospital with enough budget to procure drugs and procure equipment. There are many unemployed skilled medical practitioners in Malawi who can run the district hospitals much more effectively than what we have now. Just the look at the hospital makes me depressed, what more if I am a patient or a worker at the hospital. I urge Malawi government to be a little bit more visionary in the way they build and resource hospitals. I ma sure if you lobby with China or Russia they might be more than willing to assist.… Read more »

There are several issues that are affecting operations of health service delivery in in Dedza: 1) Late funding which is also inadequate as commonly stated by the District Commissioner and District Health Officers, 2) The District Commissioner lacks confidence in managing the affairs of the district. He is always indecisive which gives junior staff a chance to operate things the way they want. I have met the district for over a year now, he is always shy of taking a leading role. 3) The District Health Officer is acting in that position.
