State produce trader Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (Admarc)CEO Foster Mulumbe is back in office after serving a forced leave...
Brainy, educated & effective she may be but things should be done following protocol, not otherwise. Uyu Mutharika saadzamva ayi!
MY CONCERN IS THAT MWAPASA AND SEODE WHITE WERE COMMISSIONERS IN THE CIVIL SERVICE REFORM COMMISSION. AT THE END OF THE REVIEW, THEY HAVE GOT THEMSELVES JOBS IN THE VERY CIVIL SERVICE THEY WERE REVIEWING WITHOUT GOING FOR INTERVIEWS.
ISN’T THIS A CASE OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST? WHERE ARE THE PROFESSIONAL ETHICS? I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT MWAPASA IS PROFESSIONAL ENOUGH TO NOTE THIS. NOT SURE ABOUT SEODE THOUGH.
Wife to body guard of late Kahuna now accelerareted to deputy …..? Tribalism at peak!!!
this hand picking has to stop! how can any handpicked manager say no to board directives that are not in order? they will obviously feel they owe the board – otherwise get ready for shady procurement deals. am not against anyone so appointed but i wish good governance practice was done on the issue not thrown to the dogs! what was the criteria for letting others go and extending employment contracts for others? are the directors aware of governance issues at all?!
If I were Mwapasa I would have refused the appointment. But not in Malawi. You will surely soon she soon be a puppet of DPP. Throwing all standards to the dogs. MONEY TALKS IN MALAWI
FACTS FIRST: Ms. Mwapasa is a brainy, educated, effective leader and critical thinker (She is qualified). She is Yao from Zomba actually very close to the JB family home in Domasi (She is NOT Lomwe). Was she handpicked – Yes and No…. but this phallacy of equity for critical and crucial organizations such as ESCOM which with the recent performance can easily bring down an administration, I don’t blame DPP for placing an individual whos is loyal to the DPP.. She has to deliver and we will all benefit from it. DPP took too long to reposition itself in all… Read more »
Point of correction. Ms Mwapasa is not a Lomwe. She is a Yao. So I don’t see any tribalism here. But if we were to talk of the other elements then I may second some of your views here. For sure interviews were the only way to go if we are to be serious with governance issues
Za manyiiiii
Malawians should learn to learn things fast. Its high time we learnt that Peter is not up for serious business. The earlier we accepted this fact the better because we will now know what to do next. To keep on giving benefits of doubt is eating up our country. The fact that we continue to fail to differentiate a leader from a noise maker keeps us on the crossroads all the time. Peter has never shown any element of seriousness in governing this nation from the word go. We are all witnesses to this truth. It shouldn’t be therefore coming… Read more »
I know Ms Mwapasa is educated and a critical thinker. I have no doubt she is fit for the CEO position. However if the position was not advertised and Ms mwapasa was handpicked without competition from other capable homo sapiens then I have a problem there. I would also join those crying nepotism, favouritism and indeed tribalism!
