Countrymen, The best way to deal with this problem in Lilongwe and many areas in the country is replenishing forests that we have carelessly cut in the past two decades in the name of “freedom” – otherwise we will perish soon or later with natural disasters. I still remember that Lilongwe had huge forests in Kanengo, Chinsapo/Likuni, Area 4 going towards Area 15/32.14, State House, Area 49, Area 36/Mwenyekondo areas. Rivers too were covered by forests.
