Prophet Bushiri jets in Malawi to build massive ECG Church building
Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, leader and founder of Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church landed in the country on his private jet to initiate his church projects in Lilongwe.
According to information at hand, Bushiri is expected to start work on his planned Mega Church to be built in the capital Lilongwe. Upon arrival, he spoke to Nyasatimes reporter and said it is now time for his personal projects.
“I never left Malawi. After doing charity and helping many poor people I feel it is now time for my church and personal projects, so this trip, mainly focuses on that. I need to build my international church,” said Bushiri.
According to Bushiri, his church has already erected two prayer houses in Blantyre and Mzuzu.
“I have built two churches so far, in Blantyre and Mzuzu and both churches will be finishing in June. I took my time to build this one I wish to embark on because it will be the first of its kind. It will be a very nice thing to honor God by building Him a house, not just a house but a mega house,” he explained.
On availability of funds and where he indends to get monetory support, Bushiri assured this reporter that he wishes to personally fund the project without asking for any help from anyone as that is a pledge he made to God.
“I wish to honour my God by building this church alone. He has blessed me abundantly and my personal business are yielding great results. With an honour shuch as that, am in a position to build the church out of my pocket and give to ECG, a church for the people,” said Bushiri.
Bushiri is also expected to build another gigantic church in South Africa, where among others; he will build a hotel close on the premises. He was given land by South African government that appreciates him and honour his spiritual and economic contributions in the country.
However, it has been a strange case in Malawi where the current president Peter Mutharika feels so intimidated by the young prophet for his growing popularity among Malawians, a scenario that has led to government nailing the young and rich prophet to a wall of insults and agony.
Amen to that – Building of a sanctuary in honour of God. That is my covenant with Him as well. To build a mega house of worship. Yes – with my personal funds. In Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

A few years ago every Malawian was against Bushiri when he was a nobody, just a regular uneducated boy who could barely construct a proper English sentence. And when that baby mama issue arose you were on his neck pushing him left and right, castigating him including the now bigger than life Kelvin, who has written this story and included the irrelevant last paragraph.
