Prophet TB Joshua ex ‘wiseman’ to hold Malawi crusade

Apostle John Chi, fallen Wiseman (disciple) of Prophet T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) of Nigeria, is scheduled to hold a Christian crusade at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre from 7th to 8th October.

The former Wiseman who was well known to viewers on the SCOAN’s Emmanuel TV as he, along with his colleagues, the other four wisemen, carried out miraculous deliverances, healings, prophetic and preaching ceremonies in the church, left the SCOAN two years ago in questionable circumstances.

John Chi, immediately after leaving SCOAN, founded his own ministry in his country Cameroon, called the Ark of God’s Covenant Ministry (AGCOM).

It is under this ministry that he is coming to hold a Christian rally in Blantyre.

In an email response to a Lilongwe News Agency questionnaire, Apostle John Chi, confirmed of his trip to Malawi.

“My coming is on the invitation of God’s Project Malawi through Prophetess Patricia Lungu,” he confirmed.

Asked to clarify his leaving T B Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations of Nigeria, John Chi played it down saying: “Prophet T B Joshua is my spiritual father, I travelled back home to Cameroon from SCOAN in 2013, I did not leave the SCOAN because of any problem. In fact, I did not leave Cameroon for SCOAN because of any problem, so why should my leaving Nigeria to Cameroon raise an alarm?”

He said that his communication with T B Joshua has never stopped.

“I have never ceased communicating with him,” claims John Chi who did not elaborate whether they talk on phone, email or otherwise.

He continued: “A good son never forgets his background. I am what I am today thanks to my spiritual father, TB Joshua. I have never been in bad terms with him. I am proud of him and always pray for him.”

However, despite his claims, observations show that T B Joshua and the SCOAN seem to have no relationship with him to the extent that all his engagements recorded at the SCOAN’s Emmanuel TV while he was there are never replayed as other programs of his fellow Wise men who are still there.

Additionally, ever since he left he has not been seen fellowshipping at the SCOAN.

“The issue is not whether my activities are shown on Emmanuel TV or not. What should be of concern is whether I do what my spiritual father mentored me to do in Jesus Christ’s Name (miraculous healing, prophesies, deliverances),” he emphasized.

He denied that he is using T B Joshua’s name, claiming mentorship, in order to attract people so that he gets more money and also to become famous.

He responded: “Sincerely, no amount of money can buy the anointing bestowed on me to deliver, heal, prophesy, etc. in the name of Jesus Christ. Fame belongs to our Lord Jesus Christ, the author of everything in heaven and on earth, the one who bore our pains on the cross of Calvary.”

The Apostle also cleared queries as to why he formed his own church and not continue with SCOAN if indeed there is no love lost between them.

“My interest is not about running a church. I earlier said whether at SCOAN or AGCOM, the common denominator is all about disseminating the good news of JESUS CHRIST,” explained John Chi.

Speaking about his new organization, John Chi said that AGCOM is an apostolic ministry that focuses on the preaching of the Word of God, charity missions to the aged, the destitute, and less privileged in society by offering them the Word of God, material and financial assistance.

He said though barely two years old, AGCOM has already organized over ten crusades in and out of Cameroon including the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and the Republic of South Africa.

The organization said they have also already undertaken several charity missions and granted numerous scholarships.

Lastly, Apostle John Chi invites everyone: “I invite you all to the Malawi Crusade for Christ. Come, and you will witness the mighty move of the power of God.”

Apostle John Chi was born on September 26, 1976 in Esu –Wum, Menchum Division of the North West Region of Cameroon.

He left Primary School in 1989 but lacked funds to continue in secondary school. He then started learning to be auto-electrician yet stopped for want of money. He left for the South West Region and worked with Honorable Efite Andrew as a house boy.

A few days later, his church pastor from Sierra-Leone, told him that he has a calling and declared a period of fasting. He accepted but broke the fast before the due date. When it ended, the pastor asked him to accept the calling.

In December 1999, on the way to his pastor’s home, Sierra-Leone, they reached Lagos, Nigeria. Before they continued with their journey, the lodge owner invited him to visit the SCOAN. After visiting the SCOAN he decided to stay and became part of the church under T B Joshua.

  5. God’s word is one but its proclaimed by many organs of Christ’s body. God’s calling is one but its revealed through different ways.Whether, the Lord’s messengers are from within or abroad, we need to let God talk to us through them. Let accord to them the necessary attention BUT let us desist from Turning Them into ‘idols’ within Christianity.

  46. He already had a calling, if ministering @ scoan was crippling what he had inside(calling), then John Chi made the right choice leaving scoan, but if he left scoan 4 selfish reasons, he wil not move any mile with his ministry. Above all “U R MOST WELCOME TO MALAWI, APOSTLE JOHN CHI”.
