Colleagues, what is happening at MACRA regarding tactically orchestrated looting is extremely dismaying to say the least. When Mr Kumbatira was swapped with Itaye, some of us who know the inside strategy, raised the eyeblows. What follows now is the signs of the manifestations of that plan to plunder poor malawians tax payers money. It is the same story at MRA, MERA, ESCOM and the rest of the parastatals. I beg CSOs to rise up and take action.

Koma chinanchina nkhaniyi sikupanga sense. Land purchase and Bisika contract zikugwirizana bwanji. The story does not make sense. Macra want to buy land then Basika’s contract is not being renewed? What’s the relationship? Personally I cannot make sense out it.

But where is Malawi heading to, why all this, where are our leaders? Why are they just looking on? Our taxes are free for all in the ruling elite……very sad

Most Board resolutions in parastatals are ‘subject to Government’ approval. If that was the case with the resolution in question, then I do not see anything wrong with the decision not to renew the contract by MACRA.
