Tigresses beat Diamonds in GOtv championship
Complex Tigresses were unstoppable as they maintained their lead on the summit table in the GOtv Netball Champions League as they defeated Diamonds 21-17 – in a thrilling encounter at Blantyre Youth Centre in Blantyre on Sunday.
Tigresses outclassed Diamonds in the first two quarters with the likes of Sindi Simutowe in top form and Beatrice Mpinganjira showing great skill and resolve.
Diamonds, who welcome back their vast experienced shooter Jessica Sanudi from a year long break lacked composer and speed in the first two quarters of the match.
Tigresses were too strong on the centre where youngster Ellen Chibokho and Mpinganjira enjoyed ball possession feeding Simutowe in front.
Sindi ‘Sniper’ Simutowe, Lauren Ngwira, Beatrice Mpinganjira- combined well to ensure Diamonds fail to shine.
Tigresses also managed to clip Blue Eagles Sisters with 34-20 baskets in another game.
Diamonds managed to register victory against Mafco with a 38-17 baskets margin.
