8 million kwacha for temporary relief items. No doubt it’s a great help to the devastated people. But quite honestly it’s a disgrace how most Malawians and the media seem to buy into these ridiculous corporate ‘Public Relations’ exercises. Telekom Networks Malawi made a *net* profit for only the first six months of 2018 of K6,942,000,000. That’s almost 7 ***billion*** kwacha. Net profit. In six months. Most of the big listed companies in Malawi make similarly obscenely high levels of profit. Including our wonderfully efficient and affordable local banks.
