BeForward four-team tournament at K7m

Be Forward four-team tournament involving Bullets FC, Mighty Wanderers, Silver Strikers and Epac to be played this weekend at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe is budgeted at K7 million with the winners set to pocket at K2 million.

The tournament organised by Japanese company dealing reconditioned vehicles has set aside the K7 million to cater for transport, accommodation, allowances and prizes.

Rashid Mtelera said the champion for the two-day tournament would pocket K2 million, runners-up K1 million, third placed team K500,000 and a consolation prize of K250,000 for the fourth placed.

“The sponsor has pumped in K7 million to cover all logistics of the tournament including prizes, allowances, travel and accommodation,” Mtelera said.

He said the sponsor settled for the four teams considering the large number of supporters they command to market its brand.

All the participating players would get K2,500 allowance.

Bullets General Secretary Harold Fote said they would participate in the tournament having been assured that they would not be duped as it has been the case in previous two competitions.

“We will not be taken for granted and we have trust in the organising committee,” Fote said.

Bullets FC and Epac are set to kick off the tournament on Friday with Mighty Wanderers and Silver game being a late kick off on the same day.

The winners in Friday games qualify for the final while the losers will fight for third place honours.

  1. Please leave Harold Fote alone. This team was not doing very well as it doing now before Fote and company came in. Inu tapangani zina tikuonenitu, dont waste time demonising Fote and the Chairman. Koditu zinthu akamapanga nzako zinakhala zophweka. Fote and Nsungama, please guys, continue the good work you are doing for the People`s Team.

  6. Which is which? Silver verses Bullets or Epac verses Bullets….. To my understanding, K2, 500 is for players allowance. I think its better off than nothing. What should worry us is Are the Sponsors going to full fill what they have promised……

MIGHTY WANDERERS AND THE WHOLE BIG BULLETS WHY STOOP SO LOW AND GET FOOLED BY SUCH USELESS EVENTS. HAVE YOU WAIGHED SERIOUSLY THE GAINS AND THE BAD RESULTS THE TOURNAMENT MAY HAVE TO YOUR TEAMS AT THIS PEAK PERIOD OF OUR SUPER LEAGUE!!!???? WHY OVER TASKING YOUR PLAYERS AND RISK THEM TO SERIOUS INJURIES AND FATIQUE THEN CONSEQUENTLY PERFORM BADLY IN THE LEAGUE EVEN LOOSING THE LEAGUE UNNECCESSARILLY. IN 2014 YOU TELLING ME OUR PLAYERS ARE STILL THAT CHEAP TO PLAY FOR A MEAGURE K2,500.00 FOR TWO DAYS. WALTER NYAMILANDU AND SULOM REALLY AGREED TO SUCH EXPLOITATION OF OUR BOYS!!!???? CAN THE BEFORWARD DO THE SAME IN JAPAN??????? MY GUESS IS NO BUT ONLY TO FOOLS. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH BEFORWARD IS GOING TO GAIN BY PUBLISISING THEMSELVES THROUGH YOU GUYS!!!??? IT IS THAT HEAVY. I FEEL THE GAINS ARE FAR TOO LOW ON OUR TEAMS AND AS SUCH I WOULD KINDLY REQUEST THE TEAMS TO WITHDRAW URGENTLY!!!!!!!!!!

How do explain a player receiving K2,500 appearance fee for 2 dys, ndi m’mene kukutenthera kunjaku?Team administrators please, zinazi tamazionani, sizikufunika an economic genius to tell you that the adventure is not economically justifiable. In their budget there isnt anything like training allowance for the players? Once again please asiyireni, I dont want to remind you kuti you have been duped for too long. Ngati ma team asowa chochita mukandilimire pa dimba panga just for 30 mins, and I will pay you K4 million team ili yonse!
