Bisnowaty advocates for recall provision: ‘MPs who fail should be removed’
Lilongwe City Centre Constituency aspiring Member of Parliament David Bisnowaty has challenged the constituents to call him back from Parliament if he will fail to live by his manifesto.
Bisnowaty was speaking during the rally he addressed in a densely populated area of Mgona in Lilongwe.
The rally among others was organised in order to unveil his manifesto.
Buring the meeting Bisnowaty distributed 10,000 copies of the electoral pledges in the form of a manifesto.
“I am giving you this manifesto not for pride or fun, but I am doing this as one way of tying a bond with you so that you can hold me accountable when I fail to full fill my manifesto,” said Bisnowaty.
Bisnowaty said the constituents should call him back from Parliament.
“Check, you will not see many aspirants printing manifestos because they fear to be questioned and held accountable,” said Bisnowaty who further advocated for the need to have a recall provision for unproductive lawmakers.
Bisnowaty announced that he has hired an oversees company which is fixing bore holes in the area.
“My hired company has fixed 89 bore holes so that people in the area have access to clean drink and portable water,” said Bisnowaty.
Meanwhile Bisnowaty has announced that he will paint the primary schools in his constituency.
Bisnowaty said he will not wait for the elections to start implementing his manifesto.
