Bullets rope in Simkonda, Mkacha for CAF: Chiukepo signed

Big Bullets have successfully negotiated a loan deal for Moyale Barracks talisman striker Gastin Simkonda and Kamuzu Barracks playmaker Harvey Mkacha with the Malawi Defence Force specifically for the CAF Champions League.

According to well-placed sources Bullets held talks with MDF Deputy Commander Griffin Supuni Phiri last week where the deal was sealed.

Supuni Phiri could not be reached but spokesperson for MDF Francis Kakhunda Banda confirmed the development.

“I heard about that but I don’t have the details now. I needs to get more information now,” said Kakhuta Banda.

However,  while being elusive on the meeting with the Deputy Commander,  Bullets secretary general  Harold Fote confirmed that they had be granted the offer to rope in the two players for CAF assignment.

“What I can says now is that we had fruitfull meeting with senior Army officials who have accepted our request to get the players on loan specifically for CAF Champions,” he said.

He confirmed that the two players had already been registered with former Flames super substitute Chiukepo Msowoya but before the January 30 deadline.

Simkonda, the 2014 TNM Super League Golden Boot Award Winner and Nkacha the former Zomba United and Silver Strikers midfielder are expected to join the squad on Mondayfor training.

The development is huge sigh of relief to the Bullets whose bid to get Be Forward Wanderers goalkeeper Richard Chipuwa and defender Francis Mlimbika, John Lanjesi of Civo United and Chawanangwa Kawonga of Silver Strikers  hit a snag.

  1. Big Bullets, are you building a national team? This will not help footbal development in Malawi. Lets say Bullets looses, what will people be saying, Bullets yaluza kapena Malawi National Team yaluza?

  2. That is corruption in Malawi football, will never develop football wise with this kind of amatuerish doing of things. Ever heard Barcelona loaning Messi to Real Madrid because they are in the Champions League final?

  3. Army Commander you have taught other people that you are really a freind indeed when others are in need. Enanu mukuoneka kuti mukufuna muyambe mangawa chifukwa mukuona ngati poti alola mapuleya kupita ku Bullets nanunso mukadzafuna kutero zidzakhala automatically the same ,you are forgetting how you have behaved to others. Shame on you and your petty jealousy. Welcome Gaston and your freinds to the Bullets camp and feel at home.

  4. Kodi ubale umenewu bwanji? Friendly, Red Lions. Players on loan Muyale.Soldiering basi.

Civo ai, Silver strikers Toto, Mighty Be careful ife sitikufuna.

MDF, you are helpful and very open minded people. Thanks a lot.

  5. Its obvious, soldiers use bullets to hit their targets, while bullets depend on soldiers to pull the trigger.Bravo MDF.

  6. That’s true Sportsmanship, other teams should emulate good example set by MDF.This is good for development of sports in the country, now its time for companies to support BB financially.Bravo,MDF!

  7. paja mumati ndife osaphunziratu. gone are the days when the army was only recruiting for physical appearance no msce no job unless if your only Xool is boxing Cross country football or netball bcz wecant afford to let talent rot considering how these people suffer when they retire lol

  8. That’s maturity in football the MDF. We are very happy with this development. Looking forward to the same offers our Army Commander to any team which: may have the same ambitions in future.
