Court okays strike for Mzuzu University staff, threatens return of turmoil
The Industrial Relations Court on Tuesday granted Mzuzu University Academic Staff and suppirt staff permission to proceed with their industrial action
Mzuzu University (Mzuni) academic and support staff are demanding better salaries and working conditions from the government. But government says it is strapped for cash and has no funds to address the demands.
The university staff argue that the issue of inflation and devaluation has forced them to demand pay rise.
Malawi is currently facing an economic turmoil.

Unfortunately striking will benefit nobody. Working to elect a government who will govern in the interests of all the people and not just themselves might be a better action.
