Euro 2016 Malawians to watch live on MBCtv, tournament gets underway
The Euro 2016 football tournament gets underway this weekend with Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) announcing it will be showing selected matches live on its national television channel.
With all eyes on France for the big opening, MBC will be showing live the opening match of the tournament between hosts France and Romania .
MBC public relations officer Thembi Malinki confirmed they have secured rights to broadcast the 2016 Uefa Euro matches live.
She said Malawians will be able to watch uninterrupted live matches on MBCtv and follow proceedings on Radio 2 FM.
Mlainki said MBC has a great selection of games as the only local station that has secured rights to the European football fiesta.
“Starting from the kickoff on June 10, we will be broadcasting selected games in each round up to the closing ceremony on July 10,” she said.
Malinki said MBC look forward to bringing home to viewers the action and excitement on the ground in France.
