First eviction show in Sunbird Search for a Star
The Sunbird Search for a Star first eviction show is slated Saturday in the capital city Lilongwe.
To be held at Sunbird Capital hotel from 8pm, this week’s show will see the 24 contestants performing and at the end, eight contestants will be evicted.
“The evictions are based on the votes from the general public,” said Antony Kafuwa, the show’s Project Cordinator.
Kafuwa added: “Voting lines are still open and people can SMS contestant’s number to 50505.”
Apart from the performances from the contestants, renowned Malawian Afro rapper/singer, Piksy is scheduled to perform.
The Sunbird Search for a Star was launched on October 5th at Sunbird Mount Soche hotel in Blantyre where the 24 contestants also performed.
This year’s edition is sponsored by Sunbird Hotels who are providing all the logistics including accommodation, meals and the prize money – K500,000 to the winner, K300, 000 to the first runner up and K200,000 to the second runner up.
