National bank of Malawi has donated K1 million to the Flames as they prepare the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers encounter against Mali on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium.
Chief Marketing Officer at National Bank of Malawi Wilkins Mijiga presented the cheque to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Competitions Officer Gomegzani Zakazaka and Flames captain Joseph Kamwendo at Kamuzu Stadium after Flames training.
Mijiga said National Bank believe the money will only fire up the Flames in their camp but also drive much needed energy in them so that they scorch Mali on Saturday.
He also urged the players to be more than determined to scorch the visitors and raise the country’s flag.
Flames captain Joseph Kamwendo hailed National bank for the timely donation, and promised to work hard in Saturday’s encounter.
“We need more support from other companies at this critical time when we are facing financial problems. To our fans we urge them to come in their large numbers to support us, otherwise we know they deserve a big smile on Saturday,” said Kamwendo.
On Wednesday, Airtel Malawi also donated a whooping of K10 million to the Flames at a function which took place at Ryalls Hotel in Blantyre.Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
