It was first time for Fame Distributors to sponsor a game of golf and the company used the platform to introduce to golfers its new dog feed ‘Tip-Top’  hailed as the best dog food recently introduced on the market.

The tournament attracted 39 golfers and Kamanga emerged winner in men’s category with 21 points followed by Gabriel Kambale as runners-up with 19 points. On third was Sopie Kaira.

Maguvu-Karuku piped fellow lady golfers with 17 points with Carol Banda as runners-up on 14 points. As champion, Maguvu-Karuku bagged a trophy and a grill machine.

“I had a good game and I was motivated by fellow players. It’s awesome to win; I had an easy game,” said Kamanga who received a Logic fan and trophy.

The runners-up went home with grill machines and Logic fans as prizes.

Speaking during prize presentation captain for Blantyre Sports Club men’s Golf team, Sam Mwale hailed Fame Distributors for supporting the game, saying the company made right choice to be part of the sporting activity.

“It’s a right choice considering that golf is played by decision makers and people who are potential customers to the company’s products. The sport provides a right platform for them to market their new dog food brand,” said Mwale.

And Fame Distributors Managing Director, Felix Njawala the sponsorship was one way of interacting with the company’s customers and potential clients, and pledged to sponsor more golf tournaments.

“We have been impressed with the turn up of golfers. We have just introduced a new brand of dog feed and we thought this could be a right platform to introduce it to our customers and potential clients,” Njawala said.
