Malawi Electoral Support Network seeks to recruit more senior staffers
The Malawi Electoral Support Network (MESN), a secretariat for the recently formed National Task Force on Electoral Reforms in Malawi is engaging more work-force in its organization a move it says seeks to serve the National Task Force efficiently and effectively.
The organization is currently seeking the services of highly qualified and experienced persons for the positions of Coordinator and Media and Public Relations Officer.
MESN says in a statement that the coordinator will among other duties be leading and coordinate management of the program, providing technical and administrative leadership and managing staff and supervision of overall performance of the program.
“[The Coordinator will] ensure proper management of resources , serve as principal liaison with the Task Force on electoral reforms and other partners through the taskforce leadership “ reads the statement.
While the Media and Public Relations Officer will be among other duties be responsible for acting as the liaison between the Task Force on electoral reforms, MESN secretariat and the media and also designing, draft and implement publicity materials for e activities.
MESN is The Task Force comprises Malawi Electoral Commission, National Initiative for Civic Education Trust, Centre for Multiparty Democracy, NGO-Gender Coordination Network, Malawi Human Rights Commission, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, the Law Commission, UNDP and National Democratic Institute.
The National Task Force is being co-chaired by MEC and MESN and has been established to oversee the reform process and consultations.
