Moyale wraps up first round on top spot: Malawi TNM Super League
Mzuzu based soldiers’ side Moyale Barracks can now afford a smile as they have finished on top of the K65 Million TNM Super League first round, according to a final first round log table released by Super League of Malawi (Sulom).
This follows a decision by Sulom Disciplinary Committee on the Moyale Barracks versus Silver Strikers abandoned game at the Mzuzu Stadium on 27th July, 2014.
The match was abandoned in the 85th minute when Silver Strikers refused to continue playing after referee George Aziz Nyirenda awarded Moyale a penalty.
According to the log standings, Moyale Barracks and Big Bullets both have collected 29 points but Moyale have a superior goal difference.
The soldiers have recorded nine straight wins [five at home and four away] and two draws [one home and one away]. They have lost only three times two at home and one away.
The Peoples team Big Bullets have won eight games four at home and four away respectively. They have drawn four times at home and once away.
Blue Eagles are on third position, Red Lions on fourth while Mafco seats on position five.
Chikwawa United, Karonga United and Blantyre United are at the bottom of the table.
