Moyales’ Simkonda hospitalized after accident: Three players discharged

Moyale Barracks and former Flames international striker Gastin Simkonda is still admitted at Mzuzu District Hospital after being involved in a motor vehicle accident on Saturday.

MDF vehicle they were travelling in.

Simkonda along side three other players namely Boyboyi Chima, Chrispin Fukizi and Lovemore Mitengo together with Moyale Barracks Commanding Officer and his wife plus two kids were travelling to Lilongwe carry out some official duties.

The accident happened at Liwawa Turn-Off in Mzimba after the vehicle they were travelling in a Toyota Land Cruser Registration Number MDF 317 allegedly developed a fault in the break system forcing it to overturn.

They were all immediately rushed to Mzimba District Hospital before being reffered to other hospital.

Mitengo was reffered to Moyale Barracks Clinic where he has been treated as an out-patient while Simkonda has been admitted at Mzuzu District Hospital but reports indicates that he is now in a stable condition.
