In July, the Authority collected K40.9 billion, according to its report.

MRA had projected to collect K36.2 billion in the month of August, but only collected K34.6 billion, K1.6 billion shy.

However, the authority has managed to surpassed its projection for  the financial year. It has accumulatively collected K75.61 billion from the projected K75.6 billion.

Other tax collections that have performed include corporate tax K1.11 billion  over a projected K938 million and  excise duty at MK4.6 billion above a  projection of MK4.2 billion.

Meanwhile, the authority is expected to contribute at least K492 billion towards the zero-aid budget in the 2014/2015 financial year.

Mra ikuluza ndalama kamba ka anthu kuba. This is what happens.
Anthu akatumiza katundu kuchokela kunja. They inflate the charges. Eg Katundu uyu kuombola ndi 500 thousand. They dont even explsin how they get to the figure. Olo munthu atumize second hand things amangonena momwe aganizila olo awone ma receipts a katundu.
Munthu mpaka kumanenelera zoona? Kenako from 500 mpaka 100 then alembe receipt la 30 ati 70 akagawane. Mchitidwewu tikupabgitsa tokha amalawi. In a day Malawi looses millions. Ndalama zotizikanathandiza mzipatala etc. I will go undercover to expose these thieves. Dont say I didnt warn you. U better stop.

more drop is expected this month and the coming months. Reason is low motivation of staff. Promotions only given to officers at headquarters staffs leaving hardworking outstation officers under motivated. If you improve this you save your remaining good image apo bi. The head will be the worse CG ever

There was no need of firing John Biziwiki then , the nation thought that the new bloom was going to sweep better than the old bloom.

That is the worst result if you bring politics in the economy of the country. During Bingu’s time Malawi saw a lot of cooked figures coming from MRA , don’t expect us to trust these cooked figures from the young brother Peter’s administration . Malawians lost trust with Lomwes.
