Multichoice Malawi splashes cash in DStv Rewards Promotion

Multichoice Malawi is giving out cash amounting to K500,000 weekly in the revitalized DStv Rewards Promotion, with 12 months free subscription set as a grand prize.

Launched on January 20th this year, the promotion, unlike last year’s, has incorporated weekly draws with customers set to walk away with cash through a Game Show hosted by DStv Explora decoders Ambassador, musician cum businessman, Limbani Tay Grin Kalirani.

Through the Game Show beaming on MBC Television every Tuesday evening, a selected customer plays the game with a partner by answering a series of questions with each question attracting grades in form of cash.

By being selected to play the Game Show, the lucky customer is automatically given K100,000 which is topped up by the number of correct answers one gets throughout the show.

On Saturday, Multichoice gave out K450,000 to Natasha Kaleya who emerged as winner in the competition’s first draw.

Multichoice Malawi’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Chimwemwe Nyirenda told Nyasa Times the Game Show was added in the Rewards Promotion following suggestions by company’s customers through a survey.

“We conducted a survey and two things came up; a free subscription and cash. This is why we have introduced the Game Show through which we will be giving out cash to lucky customer every week”.

The Rewards Promotion, according to Nyirenda, will end in April this year when a lucky winner will be awarded a 12 months free subscription. Last year, subscribers got a K1 million every fortnight in the promotions.

“Customers have to ensure their DStv subscription is consistently paid for if they are to be lucky to walk away with weekly cash or the grand prize. Under the Game Show we will include questions about Malawi especially about the 50th anniversary-Silver Jubilee on July 6th-just to build up the awareness about this national event”.
