Khoviwa is the president and founder of Blantyre based Word of Faith Temple International Ministries.

He replaces Reverend Malani Mtonga, who was hired by former president and founder of People’s Party (PP) Joyce Banda and previously also served late Bingu wa Mutharika.

Khoviwa once served as the vice Chairperson of Presidential Commission of Inquiry on July 20, 2011 anti-Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government protests.
