Tell them what Lord Jesus has done for you

Realizing the importance of our testimony is a key to help those who are not saved come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. “Many Samaritans from that town believed in Him for the saying of the woman, which testified” (John 4:39).

Many people do not know our Lord Jesus Christ not because they do not want to know, but they have not yet heard the message.

We have been saved because God used someone to share with us the message of salvation that we too may share the message with others who haven’t heard. We do not have enough time left yet many people need to hear this message. “Lift up your eyes, and look on the field; for they are white already to harvest” (John 4:35).

The Samaritan woman was lost as seen from the book of John to an extent that He had five husbands yet he was that time with the Sixth who was not her own husband. We see the love of God because even though there were many women who were not living with somebody’s husband, Jesus chose to reveal Himself to a woman who was living in complete sin.

This tells us that we should not look at the current situation that we are in, for Jesus Christ came and died for sinners. God knew from the beginning that we will fail, that is why He has to send His only son to die for us on the Cross that through Him we could all be saved. Many are in the same situation as this woman and the wrong things may not just be living with another husband but it would mean not living for God.

Jesus knew from the time that He was speaking with this woman all about her yet he still took His time to talk to her and not just condemn her. This is the nature of our God, who loves and able to forgive our sins yet He can no longer remember them.

We are to give the same testimony to those that are still lost. It is the love that we show others that brings many in the Kingdom of God and not just condemn. Jesus knew the woman was in sin because she did not know and no one told her about salvation, which is also the case with those that have not yet heard about salvation even now.

It is the responsibility of every believer that every single person should have an opportunity to hear the word of God for people cannot believe what they have not heard about.  Let all hear what God has done for you, saving you even though you failed Him many times for it is the same message that will make others come into relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. “Go ye into the entire world, and preach the Gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).
