16 Malawians deported from Zimbabwe for being illegal migrants
Zimbabwe has sent back 16 Malawians for entering the country illegally.
More Malawians are fleeing their country to neighbouring countries and South Africa seeking economic refuge following biting hunger in their country.
The deportation comes barely a week after Mozambique repatriated 23 Malawians for lacking proper travelling documents and using unchartered routes.
The deportation from Zimbabwe was on Wednesday.
The 16, all of them from Mzimba, arrived through Mwanza border.
Pasqually Zulu, Mwanza border immigration spokesperson says the 16 comprised eight women, six men and two minors and were arrested in Harare early January this year.
