2 athletes to represent Malawi at Africa cross country in Cameroon
Athletics Association of Malawi has settled for two athletes to represent the country at Africa cross country in Cameroon scheduled for Saturday.

AAM chairman Godfrey Phiri said Kephas Kesteni and Francis Khanje would leave on Thursday to Cameroon.
Phiri said the trip had been made possible with funding from government through Malawi National Council of Sports and Malawi Defence Force.
He said Sports Council had provided funding for Kesten while Khanje would be sponsored by his employers MDF.
“I am pleased to say that we are sending two athletes; Francis Khanje and Kephas Kesteni to Africa cross country to be held in Cameroon on Saturday. They will leave on 10 March for the competition,” he said.
“We have worked hard to send these two athletes but we would have loved to have bigger team for our athletes to be exposed to international competition.”
Malawi government has been failing to offer support to other sporting disciplines apart from considerable support to football and netball over the years.
