25-year-old man arrested for sexual attack and impregnating minor
Soche police in Blantyre are currently keeping custody a 25-year-old man, Alick Sapuwa for allegedly defiling and consequently impregnating a 12-year-old girl.
Blantyre police Public Relations Officer, Elizabeth Divala confirmed of the arrest, saying Sapuwa was arrested on Tuesday this week.
According to Divala, Sapuwa had been defiling the victim since Friday last week.
“On Friday 22nd September, 2016, the victim left for school never returned home. Her mother started searching for her but no avail,” explained Divala.
It was well wishers who tipped the victim’s mother of where she was.
“She (the victim) was at the suspect’s house. The mother took up the matter with police who arrested the suspect.’
A medical report from Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) revealed that the victim was indeed defiled and that she is one-month pregnant.
Currently it’s not officially known if the two were in relationship.
Sapuwa is expected to arraign on the charge of Defilement contrary to Section 138 of the Penal Code.
He needs to be castrated….period, and finally jail him life imprisonment….
