Very sad an African country Malawi to incarcerate other Africans simply for asking protection to protect their lives and to excuse by saying that in case they bring disease with them is, it shows how Mali is a country of arrogant and ignorant people including the stupid judge who passed this sentence perhaps he/she might have pocketed fist of full of dollars from the dictators of Ethiopia.
To the person who call himself Patriot, I pity you, but hence you are ignorant still in slavery mentality I empathise with your because you are mentally retard !!! son of a Bitch!”!

Stiff sentence coz of Ebola fears…?. Mwawagwira liti anthuwo…ndipo mlanduwo mwawazenga litilo kuti mpaka sentence yo… Za masanje basi…
Just send them back home.
They must b repatriated immediately and they should not pay the K5000. If they have Ebola it means they have contaminated every person who was in contact with them from the border to the jail, even the Magistrate himself, court officials, the police, the prison wardens, let them go now now!
i wanted to comment to your absolutly gibberish baseless fear of Ebola… But, you are moron and keep making these silly comment.
By looking at faces of those Ethiopians one can easily see that they are indeed desperate hence their reason to go and seek refuge at Dzaleka Camp. Sending them to prison is purely violation of their human rights. These people should have been assited in the 1st place by taking them to a refugee camp where they should have been tested or treated for healthy problems. Let us not take the immigration issue for granted.
So if they are affected with Ebola mwawapangila malo ku Maulako so that they dont spread the Disease? Do you know that these people doesnt know Dzaleka specificary? Panali mmalawitu apa! Tamumangeni nayenso ayione! Amulani the magestrate uli ndi Nzelu tapezako kangachepe, koma tapangani zoti mmaBoardermu mukhale chitetezo chabwino please Eeeh?
Malawians in diaspora are not illegal immigrants! Theses Ethiopians are illegally in Malawi. There is no war in Ethiopia and between Malawi and Ethiopia the wealthier country is Ethiopia, so why leave ocean to come to a chithaphwi cha madzi. And what is the reason for letting them spend any time at all in Malawi prison? Let them go immediately. Or are our prisons empty that we need customers?
Stupid magistrate and stupid prosecutor. If you suspect that these Ethiopians are having ebola then why should you imprison them, are you going to give them their own space in prison so that they don’t spread the disease? I thought the proper verdit should have been to call for their immediate deportation if the purpose was to stop the spread of the disease in the country. It also serves no purpose to imprison foreign nationals, the best way is to deport them as soon as they are arrested. Enafe tili kumayiko aweni ndipo ndi muchitidwe umenewu mutipweteketsa. Chonde ndapota nanu.
with racketeering in ppo trafficking at the pace, Malawi and the Malawian passport will be shunned by many countries for visa applications. government ought to be doing something to stem this scourge. there is a definite trend purporting to an organised black market responsible for the abduction of young children and the transit of many adults from the northern horn of africa via Malawi.
this is also going to make it hard for Malawi to counter any terror incursions as citizens are almost certainly at risk as of now.
