A visit by Nyasa Times at their Limbe Country Club training base on Thursday revealed that the team has over 45 players including eight goalkeepers attending trials at the Kanjedza based out-fit.

Azam Tigers Technical Director Robin Alufandika confirmed with Nyasa Times that they have roped in a bulk of players with most of them coming from Mzuzu to attend trials.

“We are in a process of building a new squad, and people should expect to see a changed Tigers side. As per our traditional we scouted our  players in rural areas,” said Alufandika.

He said they do not want to be taken unaware, as most of their key players are seeking for greener pastures elsewhere.

For instance, their key  player Yamikani Chester resigned from the team as he reported on his way either to Be Forward Wanderers or Nyasa Big Bullets.

Tigers coach Gerald Phiri described their preparations as perfect and said they are expected to trim their squad by next week.
