Diamonds confident of beating Young Professionals : Rainbow Paints

Kukoma Diamonds captain Sarudzai Gondwe is confident that her side will clip Young Professionals on Saturday in the Rainbow Paints Southern Region Netball League at Blantyre Youth Centre.

On the log table, Diamonds are on third slot with 9 points from 3 games, while Young Professionals are on the tail with no point from 2 games.

Gondwe said they are not underrating Young Professionals, but insists their mission this weekend is to go top of the table.

Tigresses, which has no game this weekend are on the summit table with 10 points from 4 games.

“The spirits are high among the players,” said Gondwe after training at BYC on Thursday.

She said they are aware that in order to displace Tigresses on the summit table they need to beat Young Professionals with a better basket margin basing on the fact that Thunder Queens are also gunning on the first position.

Thunder, which has a game against Prison Sister have 9 points from 3 games as well. However, Thunder has a better basket aggregate having netted 318. Kukoma has 216 baskets.

In other fixtures, Thunder Queens takes on Prison Sisters, while Shizaella has a task against Gerald Tasaukadala.

Serenity Stars will take on Chilomoni Sisters.
