A  43-year-old  Lilongwe transporter, Rem Elias,  is accused of using his Facebook account to try to seduce a 17 year old girl into a sexual  relationship stored his other girlfriend’s home, assaulted her in front of her family, after the teen girl’s parents confronted him in low density Area 47, the  scandal sheet Weekend Times reported.

The paper said Elias, who operates RE Enterprise,  was earlier confronted by Mr and Mrs Chipaka of Area 18 in Lilongwe following revelations of “dirty correspondence” on Facebook with their 17 year
old daughter Janet.

Janet’s family became suspicions with the young girl’s movements and decided to check her mobile phone where they found unprinted sexual messages.

Rem Elias: In seduction attempt

“I need to speak to my husband first because he accompanied us when we confronted the man. As a family we felt it was not right for a 43-year old man to be sharing intimate and dirty language with our daughter.

“Our daughter confessed having known this man through Facebook social network. We drove to Area Six where we met a Ms Firoz Ishmael whom we believed was Mrs. Elias but she denied having been married to Elias. She directed us to Elias home in Area 47,” Mrs Chikapa is quoted by The Weekend Times.

Ishmael admitted having an affair with Elias for more than four years and they have a son together.

“We broke up after he cheated on me several times,” she said.

“When the Chikapa family came, l only directed them to Elia’s home. Only to be attacked
later in the presence of my family and son. My arm has not yet recovered from the assault,” Ishmael was quoted saying.

“He threatened to kill me. He asked me are you satisfied now that the Chikapa family confronted me.” Ishmael claimed.

The paper said when it  contacted Rem Elias for his comment he said: “Who is your source? You mean you print any tip? This is private matter! Print it and you will hear from lawyers.”
