Chief spy Kutsaila ordered off the high table

Chief spy Bintony Kuntsaira placed by the late President Bingu Wa Mutharika may have not read the signs of time clearly.

He attended the swearing in ceremony of Malawi Vice President Khumbo Kachali and regretted not to have remembered an adage which says “be humble or you will be humbled.”

He got onto the highest table where the newly sworn in President Joyce Banda and her deputy Khumbo Kachale sat next to the newly appointed Inspector General of Police Lot Dzonzi and the Army Commander Henry Odillo.

Nyasa Times reporter at the function witnessed that in a flash, the 120 kilogram plus figure was approached by two People’s Party officials who humbly requested the spy off the high terraces to join ministers, government PSs, family members and thousands of invited guests who filled the Nthunthama Lodge mini-stadium to witness the ceremony.

Getting off the terraces and sit next to all other guests looked a tall order for Kutsaila who opted to leave the Presidential function through the back passage of the stage.

Thousands of invited guests including Leader of Opposition and MCP president John Tembo, former vice president Dr. Justin Malewezi , politicians Sam Mpasu, George Ntafu, Gwanda Chakuamba witnessed the ordeal as it unveilled.

Also attending the function were UDF leader in Parliament  Ibrahim Matola and chiefs such as Inkosi ya Makosi M’mbelwa IV, Paramount Chief  Lundu and Senior Chief Kaomba, civil society activists and a band of late president Mutharika critics  notably Ben Chiza Mkandawire, Billy Mayaya, Undule Mwakasungula, Reverend Macdonald Sembereka, Martha Kwataine and Dorothy Ngoma.
