“We are very excited as a party that more people are coming to join us, this is a clear indication that there must be something good in DPP than other parties. We are expecting more people to join us,” Ntaba said.

Speaking at the same function, DPP secretary general Dr Jean Kalilani said Chulu is a “welcome addition” to the party rank and file.

“As a party we would like to encourage those willing to join us that the door is open, we are happy that people are coming to join us this is a true that we will bounce back in 2014” Kalilani added.

Speaking after welcoming him, Chulu said he decided to dump the PP  because of lack of visionary leadership on the part of President Joyce Banda and the party as a whole.

Chulu also made a shocking revelation that PP has no structures on the ground and  also said he made a research which is showing that DPP is going to win the 2014 tripartite elections claiming out of 10 people, 6 people say they will vote for DPP.

Apart from Ntaba and Kalilani, the function had other top DPP Chimwemwe Chipungu, Ben Phiri and Bessie Chirambo.
