Atusaye completes move to University of Pretoria
Malawi national football team striker Atusaye Nyondo has secured a permanent deal with University of Pretoria from SuperSport United.
Nyondo, who was on loan from SuperSport United told Kickoff, that has signed a three-year contract.
The former Silver Strikers player said he was happy to play for the Ama Tuks having a good working relationship with former South Africa’s national football team Africa Cup of Nations winning coach Cliver Barker.
The soft-spoken player however declined to divulge more details on the contract.
“I would prefer not to discuss the details of the contract but I can confirm that I will be playing Ama Tuks this coming season,” Nyondo said.
The son to former Fifa referee Zuza Nyondo applauded University of Pretoria for offering a permanent deal.
“They have given me a chance to restore my confidence. I have a great relationship with coach [Clive Barker]. I feel more wanted here,” he said.
Nyondo scored seven league goals on his debut season at University of Pretoria in 23 league starts.
